Emotion-driven melodic hardcore Saving Throw split up in 2004 Saving Throw formed on the night of Halloween 2000. A month later the band recorded a 3 song demo at Watchman Studios in Buffalo, NY. The band continued to play shows until May of 2001 when they recorded a 7 song MCD entitled "Where's Solidarity in an Unfaithful World" which was released in September of 2001 by Caught in the Rain Records in England. Soon after, the band signed with Blatherskyte Records. Then they recorded their 3 song EP entitled "We're Never on Good Terms with the Light" in late December/early January. Soon after, the EP was released in Europe by Let it Burn Records. Then in the Summer of 2002, the EP was released coinciding with their first East Coast tour with the Building on Fire. More shows were played in support of the EP in the Fall until they did a Midwest/East Coast Winter tour with Nobody Cares. The band concentrated on writing their first full length throughout the Spring of 2003. Then in the Summer, they toured the East Coast with Fordirelifesake and Life in Your Way. After tour, they finished up writing the album and then recorded it this past August with Bret Portzer at Max Trax Studios in Albany, NY. The full length entitled "Never Race with Time" came out in the late Fall on Blatherskyte Records (US) and January 2004 on Let it Burn Records (Europe). The band continues to play out and expand its sound. |
